The PTA of P.S.116 enhances our students educational experience by providing funding to maintain a safe, welcoming environment with the necessary supplies and teacher training to ensure our children are successful and in the process creating a sense of enjoyment and community. This is all made possible through your generosity. Each year, we kick off these fundraising efforts with our annual Direct Appeal Campaign.

WHY A DIRECT APPEAL CAMPAIGN? Our annual direct fundraising appeal to families is a tradition at P.S. 116, as it is for other high-performing New York City public schools across the city. New York City public school parents like us supplement public funds to provide their children with more resources and a broader range of learning opportunities.
Direct appeal funds pay for programs that enhance our school and benefit every student, including some of the most beloved programs for both families and children at P.S. 116. If you have attended a student performance with the National Dance Institute or have art pieces from your child’s Scribble Art program, you have benefited from the generosity of our community. The cost of these and other critical programs - including math coaches, recess monitors, classroom supplies and equipment - are not covered by public funds and would not be possible without the support of P.S. 116 families.
Whether you donate $16, $116, or $1,116, your participation ensures the PTA can provide critical support and enrichment opportunities to all of our children.
We accept direct appeal donations year-round and can facilitate recurring monthly payments to spread the cost over time. Donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Our suggested donation is $1,116 per family.
To make a contribution, we offer two options:

By check: Complete this form and return it with your check made payable to “PTA of PS 116” in your child’s classroom folder.

Online: Visit www.ps116pta.com and click the Donate Now section at the top right the site. You can opt for a one-time donation or recurring donations.
NOTE ON CORPORATE MATCHING
Many corporations match donations made by employees. If you work for a company that has a matching grant program, please be sure to notify your Human Resources Department whenever you donate money to our school. They will help you double your contribution to P.S. 116! To find out if your company matches contributions, ask your HR Department. Thank you for supporting our school!
